How to Catch a Polar Bear

First, you cut a hole in the ice. Then, you place bait around the hole. The bear will come to eat the bait. When he gets close, run up and kick it in the ice hole.

You can catch a tiger in a similar way...

Dig a hole. Put bait in the bottom of the hole and cover the hole with grass. The tiger will smell the bait and come to investigate. When he gets close enough, kick him in the grass hole.

 Style and Editing

I figured out how to use the Palette settings today.  Mamma always said I was a smart one.  Don't worry folks - I'll change the color scheme to something a little less eggplant in a day or so.  I just love these colors!

Hope you all have a fantabulous day - I have a second interview later this afternoon so I'm pretty stoked about that.  Admin work is amazinging competitive out here - I never would have imagined.

It's too bad I can't get paid to stay home and keep everything warm and tidy for the family.

Another Beautiful Day in Sunny Washington

Oh wait... it's not sunny here! What am I thinking?? But it is a beautiful day - perfectly cloudy - I don't have to squint at all.

One of the greatest things about living here is I don't have to water the grass - so finally my let-nature-water-it method works!!    It never really worked in the CA Central Valley - the grass always died in the summer.  But, let me tell you, the goat heads and thistles grow like a champ without water.  Did you know a goat head can poke right through a flip-flop and into your foot?  Ouchie!

Now... I need to find a way to let nature mow the frequently watered grass... maybe a goat... I wonder if the homeowners association would approve.

 Today's Entertainment

While sitting , lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles with it.
Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your
right hand.

 A Day in the Life

What does a job-hunting-Southbeaching-mother-of-three do all day...?

1. Wake up and get out of bed - that's a biggie when there's no job to get to and the kids get themselves out the door!

2. make breakfast - this morning was 7 grain oatmeal with blueberries and coffee

3. shower, dress, makeup - all that girly crap

4. find something to rearrange - one mustn't have idle hands

5. exercise - I've heard it's good for my health, but I always discover muscles in the strangest places... like my armpits - did you know there are muscles in there??

6. Play a little online roleplaying - have to exercise my dark elf too - I don't want her to get flabby or out of practice

7. have lunch with hubby - today we went to this great little restaurant called Iris's - they make the best chicken and brocolli casserole I've ever had - I'm going to try and recreate it on Friday.

8. drink lots of water and tea - another supposedly healthy thing to do but makes me pee a lot!

9. wash a load of laundry or two - I hate folding laundry - it usually end up in a pile next to the bed - much like the dishes, once it reaches an intolerable level I fold and hang everything - wrinkles are fashionable, right?

10. child shaped demons come home from school - harrass them about homework and chores.

11. watch a couple of movies - lately whatever is on HBO

12. find something to rearrange again - I have to keep moving things so everyone asks me where to find things - it's how I maintain my title of "One Who Knows Where All Things Are"

13. Alphabetize the movies for the umpteenth time - there is some mysterious gremlin that keeps mixing the Y movies up with the L movies - that drives me crazy - surely I'm not alone here...

14. hubby comes home - kiss, hug, how are you, I'm fine, jump up for a piggy back ride - I jump up of course, he's bigger than me and I'm just a delicate flower after all...

15. Bathtime battles - someday my children will care that they are dirty and their breath smells - at least I hope so...

16. I almost forgot dinner - it's an informal affair at our house, usually accompanied by barbaric grunting and food throwing

17. go to the grocery store for something... anything to get out of the house

18. Check email 4 or 5 times

19. cross-stitch in jammies - one of the best things in the world is soft cotton jammies over leather panties

It's not an exciting life, but I really can't complain. I have a roof over my head, food on the table, and a loving family. I am blessed.
